The Norton Abrasives Charger line has been upgraded to the NEW Norton Abrasives BlueFire line. Norton Abrasives, the world’s largest abrasives manufacturer and leader in metal fabrication abrasive products for over 125 years, is implementing a performance upgrade across their Better tier of metal fabricating abrasives products for portable grinding applications. The proprietary new zirconia alumina grain shape and chemistry in the new Norton Abrasives BlueFire products improve life and cut rate by 20% over existing za discs in metal fabrication. This line surpasses and replaces the former Norton Abrasives Charger line with no increased cost.
The Norton Abrasives Charger™ depressed center and
cut-off wheels and Norton Abrasives NorZon paper discs, non-woven wheels and quick-change discs
for portable grinding applications have been upgraded to the new grain. In
addition, Norton Abrasives “Better” fiber discs, flap discs, coated abrasive
belts and portable wheels, cones and plugs have been upgraded to the new grain.
Norton Abrasives invented zirconia alumina grain with
the original Norton NorZon and continues to upgrade their product line with the
highest performance and quality zirconia alumina on the market.

steels, welds, and soft metals. No other zirconia alumina product will
give you the performance-to-price ratio and long life that these products will

wheels are available in Type 27 depressed center and Type 28 saucer shapes. With
improved performance, life and cut-rate, the Norton Abrasives BlueFire wheels
replace the former Norton Abrasives Charger depressed center wheels.
